3 Amazing Reasons to Stream Modern Family now!

Are you in need of a good laugh? Look no further! Fellow Streamer recommends streaming “Modern Family” on Disney+, and in this post, I’ll give you three solid reasons why it’s one of the funniest shows ever to grace our screens. From the relatable mishaps of the Pritchett-Dunphy clan to the snarky one-liners, “Modern Family” will have you in stitches. So, put on your comfiest sweatpants, grab a bowl of your favourite snacks, and join me as I break down why “Modern Family” is the ultimate comedy binge-watch.

I admit that I was a latecomer to watching Modern Family. I don’t know what took me so long because it is seriously one of the best shows streaming. The ensemble cast is incredible, and they have such great chemistry together. The writing is sharp and clever. The stories are relatable even though the family is far from traditional.

Created by Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan for ABC, It ran for 11 seasons, from September 23, 2009, to April 8, 2020.

Unlike Modern Family, few shows have made us laugh and cry. The series debuted in 2009 and follows the Pritchett-Dunphy family, a rather unconventional yet lovable group made up of Jay Pritchett and his second wife, Gloria, their son Mitchell and his partner Cam, and Claire Dunphy and her husband, Phil. They deal with the ups and downs of married life, parenting, and familial relationships.

Modern Family has been praised for depicting a diverse range of characters and exploring various social issues. It has also been nominated for numerous awards and won countless awards, including Emmys and Golden Globes.

You are seriously missing out if you haven’t seen Modern Family yet. Here are three reasons why it’s one of the best television shows streaming now.

1) Modern Family’s Ensemble Cast is Incredible

Every single one of them is amazing in their respective roles, and they have great chemistry together. It really feels like you are watching a family interact with each other.

This is the core cast of Modern Family season 1; as the seasons advance, more cast members are added:

Modern Family, Jay, Gloria and Mani

Jay Pritchett (Ed O’Neill). Jay is a retired businessman who married his much younger second wife, Gloria (Sofia Vergara), in 2009. Gloria is originally from Colombia and is Jay’s complete opposite in every way imaginable. Last but not least is Manny Delgado (Rico Rodriguez), Gloria’s teenage son from a previous marriage. He often acts more mature than his years would suggest, but he still has a lot of growing up to do.

Then there’s Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen), Jay’s eldest daughter from his first marriage. She is married to Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell), a real estate agent who fancies himself an eternal kid. They have three children together: Haley (Sarah Hyland), Alex (Ariel Winter), and Luke (Nolan Gould).

Modern Family, Cam, Lily and Mitch

Mitchell Pritchett (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) is Jay’s son from his first marriage. He is an attorney married to Cam Tucker (Eric Stonestreet), a former football player turned stay-at-home dad and they adopted a baby girl named Lily (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons).

2) Modern Family’s Writing is Sharp and Clever

The writers of Modern Family are geniuses. They managed to take a typical sitcom setup and turn it on its head. They also find ways to parody current events and pop culture in a way that is funny but not over-the-top or preachy.

Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan conceived the series while sharing stories of their own “modern families.” Lloyd has won 12 Primetime Emmy Awards for his work on Modern Family and Frasier. He holds the record for Primetime Emmy awards as either a comedy or drama series producer.

Levitan is an American television producer, director, and screenwriter. He has created television series like Just Shoot Me!, Stark Raving Mad, Stacked, Back to You, Modern Family, and Reboot.

Modern Family employs an ensemble cast and is presented in a mockumentary style. The characters frequently speak directly to the camera in confessional interview segments.

Modern Family

Regarding television comedy, there’s no family quite like the Pritchett-Dunphy clan. Modern Family has entertained audiences for over a decade with its unique humour. The show revolves around the trials and tribulations of a large, extended family.

While the antics of the Pritchett-Dunphy clan are often absurd, they also deal with real-life issues in a relatable way. Whether dealing with teenage drama or coping with empty nest syndrome, Modern Family provides laughter and comfort in equal measure.

The show’s writers deserve a lot of credit for creating such an enduring comedy. They have a fantastic ability to find humour in everyday situations and moments of family life. With all the 11 seasons, there’s no doubt that the writers came up with hilarity for viewers to enjoy.

3) It will increase your serotonin and put you in a good mood.

If you need a break from your stressful life, watching “modern family” will put things in perspective if you need a break from your stressful life. The show is filled with laughter and joy once it’s time for dessert– handheld cake! You’ll be able to turn on Disney+ in Canada or Hulu in the USA, where one episode can take care of that unwanted mood Swing.

If you feel down, have a lot of worries in your life or just got out of an argument with someone close to you, then “Modern Family” will be there for laughter and emotional support.

Modern Family

Conclusion

I watched the first season back in 2010 when it was on the air, but it is hard to watch network television because life gets busy, and I never got to watch it; sometimes, I caught one episode on tv, but I always got lost on what was going on. The moment Disney+ started streaming the eleven seasons in Canada, I began to watch it right away, and Sadly I just finished watching the final episode. I was slightly disappointed by the end, but I guess that was the best end they could have… Life goes on as everyone else.

Modern Family

I Strongly recommend watching from season 1 and keeping going until the end. Otherwise, you won’t get attached to the characters, the plot or the family’s history.

If you have yet to watch Modern Family, I urge you to do so as soon as possible. It is one of the best show streaming now. You will fall in love with the ensemble cast, be impressed by the clever writing, and find yourself relating to the stories.

The beauty of Modern Family lies in its relatability. No matter what your family dynamic may be, there’s sure to be at least one character to that you can relate. And isn’t that what we all need right now? A little bit of laughter and light-heartedness in our lives? So go ahead and binge-watch all 11 seasons of Modern Family on Hulu or Disney+ today! You won’t regret it.
